The Coalition for Educational Development (CED), Sri Lanka successfully organized the Consultation on Civil Society Proposals for Education Reforms on 17 July 2026 at CIPM, Narahenpita.
The consultation served as an expert platform to develop civil society proposals for Sri Lanka’s National Education Policy Framework, bringing together diverse stakeholders to share knowledge, experiences, and recommendations for strengthening the country’s education system.
The event was attended by representatives from the Faculties of Education, Ministry of Education and public administration officials, non-governmental organizations, media professionals, and CED Directors, reflecting a strong multi-stakeholder commitment to education reform.
The session was facilitated by Mr. K. M. H. Bandara, former Commissioner of the Department of Examinations, whose expertise guided meaningful discussions and encouraged constructive dialogue among participants.
The consultation generated a range of innovative and practical proposals that will contribute to the development of a more inclusive, equitable, and future-oriented National Education Policy Framework for Sri Lanka.
