On 8 July 2026, the Coalition for Educational Development (CED) successfully organized the Provincial Dialogue on Education Reforms in Central Province at Devon Hotel in Kandy. It brought together a diverse group of stakeholders committed to strengthening Sri Lanka’s education system.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Chandana Bandara, CED Central Provincial Coordinator, for his outstanding coordination, dedication, and leadership in making this dialogue a success.
The event was enriched by the active participation of Government education partners, CED provincial member organizations, education sector partners, media representatives, and NGOs working in education. Their valuable contributions created a collaborative platform for meaningful discussions on the future of education.
Through this collective effort, participants developed a range of practical and forward-looking proposals to support ongoing education reforms. These recommendations reflect the importance of partnership, shared expertise, and inclusive dialogue in shaping a stronger and more equitable education system for Sri Lanka.
