CED conducted an Awareness raising program on using the provision of RTI Act to mitigate corruption and promote accountability of the education sector. The main objective of this programmes are
- To provide practical knowledge how to use Right to Information for ensuring quality Education.
- Developing a team of active RTI practitioners who take necessary actions to ensure education rights in the provincial/district level.
This programme specially targeted women leaders specially, for the women headed organizations. This programme was held on 10th August in Colombo and 35 women leaders representing member organizations across the island participated to this event. Mr Jagath Liyanarachchi, one of the commissioners of the RTI commission in Sri Lanka facilitated this programme.
