The former president appointed a cabinet subcommittee to develop a national education policy framework and the new NEPF compiled by an expert committee approved by the cabinet in December 2023. The government announced that this will be considered as the fundamental document for developing all the future policies. As a civil society stakeholder, CED deliberated on the proposed policy framework and submitted our observation of observations to the relevant stakeholders including the Ministry of Education, National Commission of education, INGOs and policy makers.
